Hillcrest Cottage looking bloomin’ lovely

Nodding daffodils edge the path to the cottage door.

Spring comes later in Upper Swaledale than most other areas of the country.  It has its advantages.  Gardens full of bulbs and early spring flowers stay younger for longer and Hillcrest Cottage is no exception.

Purple pom-poms and fratillias look lovely together.

There are masses of primroses in the garden at Hillcrest but look how these have seeded themselves in the dry stone wall!
