Thwaite to Muker following Straw Beck
Straw Beck tumbles along the valley bottom and joins the River Swale east of Muker.
The footpath between Thwaite & Muker crosses this ancient and most delightful little pack horse bridge. The path meanders through beautiful hay meadows where in spring the Swaledale sheep graze and lambs frolic. In June when the sheep return to the fells the flowers grow and the famous Muker hay fields are awash with the vibrant colours of new grass and traditional hay meadow flowers
